Citroën Ami Super - otto models 1/18

Long time since I added something to my blog, honestly my Citroën scalemodel collection is only advancing slowly as I had some other projects to finance. Nevertheless I could not miss this Otto Model: The Citroën Ami 8 Super

As Otto grows older I think the quality of their work continues to improve. This model is a very good example. The boxing methods haven't changed since the beginning, but the models certainly did. I think the pictures will speek for themselves.

I hoped you liked it as much as I do, there is still room for improvement, but they are heading in the right direction.

Citroën Ami 6 - Eligor 1/43

One of the cars still missing to complete my 1/43 collection was the ami 6, to fill this gap I bought this Citroën Ami 6 from Eligor. a model I never heard of before. well it's not realy detailed. even the backlights are painted bleu, but overal it looks nice.

Citroën Ami 6 by Norev 1/18

This is the Citroën ami 6, the model is from Norev and is scaled 1/18. I got this one for my birthday a year ago and this car is the reason I started collecting Citroëns. It has a high level of detail and the model has a stunning line. It surely is a one of a kind!

Ami 8

I met a very interesting guy today. He told me he had a 1:1 Citroën M35, I have no such scale model in my collection. Why? Because it was a prototype by Citroën, sold in a limited edition of around 260 pieces to test it. After several years they concluded not to put it on the market and the owners could return their cars to be demolished. About 40 of them left today.

This is the car it most resembles: the Citroën Ami 8 basically it was this car, with hydraulics and a Wankel engine

AMI 6

these are two Citroën Ami 6. originally this car was made for middleclass people in contrast to the very cheap 2CV and the expensive DS.

these models are from Norev in scale 1/87they have lovely details for a car in such a scale and come in boxes with two model. the 1964 model and the 1968 model, I have no idea what the difference is.
